Steven Gillespie, LFC IA Program Manager, visited our International Academy teams and players, traveling all the way from the UK to Southern California.
During his visit, he attended the EAL Showcase with LFC IA SoCal CEO Tim Woodcock to watch our Academy teams in San Diego, attending practices and age group training to see our players in action.
Steven commented:
It’s great to visit our international projects as it enables us to see firsthand the quality of what is being delivered to the players on the pitch. We place a huge emphasis on authenticity with our programs and to achieve this, it takes a dedicated team of coaches who truly understand the LFC coaching philosophy and technical requirements. That’s certainly the case at the LFC IA in SoCal, which is great to see.
Dave Brown, our COO, commented on Steven’s visit, saying that “Stephen was able to speak about what being a part of LFC means for all of us and what it means to Liverpool Football Club to have us as part of the global family”.
Steven added:
We have a very close working relationship with the coaching staff, which means they always have access to the latest LFC technical information and insight. We want this to be a market-leading academy, and all the elements are in place to achieve that.
