In a stunning display of skill and determination, G09 Gonzales and B08 Rider emerged victorious at the recently concluded Surf Cup 2023 held in Oceanside, California on November 24th-26th, 2023.
Our players’ commitment, hard work, and skill on the field truly paid off! They shined brightly in the competition, reflecting The Liverpool Way through their coaches’ guidance and dedication.
Coach Adam Rider reflected on the stellar performance of his squad.
The boys were absolutely fantastic this weekend. Their bravery to play football against some top teams really paid off. A few players had to step up and play different positions due to injuries & sickness but I couldn’t be any more proud of every single one of them!

Coach Carlos Gonzales, coach of our G09 DPL team, proudly stated,
“I am so proud of these girls and this team! They continue to get better and better every day! They work hard, they enjoy the process, and they enjoy celebrating their successes!
He also commended Assistant Coach Kieran Sykes’ contribution. “Kieran has been a huge help with his insight and his connection with the team. He has great knowledge of the game and knows the players extremely well!”
Coach Kieran also applauds the girls’ achievements,
“I see a group of players who play with their hearts on their sleeves, and clearly have a point to prove competing at this level!
Coach Carlos’ guidance, which Coach Kieran had nothing but positive words for, significantly contributed to their success, “Carlos has the perfect mix of athletic, football and social development support and trust. Special teams win trophies.”
