In a remarkable achievement, several LFC IA SoCal players stood out among a national pool of all-star talents and earned the opportunity to participate in the prestigious DPL Perform Program in London, held from November 17 to 26.
The selected players included Sienna from the G10 team, and Averie, Emma, Malaika, and Sophia from the G06 team. Notably, the G06 team had an impressive record representation in London, with four players securing their spots.
The four G06 representatives played a pivotal role in the U17 starting line-up during DPL Perform games against top women’s clubs, such as Chelsea FC and Wolves FC. Sienna, on the other hand, was part of the U14 team roster, engaging in competitive matches against Reading PC, Aston Villa, and Chelsea FC.
The experience went beyond the pitch, as the players enjoyed private visits to iconic football clubs like Wembley and Aston Villa. The journey was filled with memorable moments, including significant victories like a thrilling 2-1 win against the Wolves FC women’s U21 team. Emma scored the winning goals with just three minutes left in play, showcasing exceptional skill and determination!
The positive impression left by LFCIA players extended not only to the DPL Perform Coaches but also to UK Club coaches.
