Darrin Richards, Competitive Coach
Darrin was the head coach of the top “A” team in Roseville Premier Soccer in Northern California. He holds a D License and an Executive MBA. As a coach coming into LFCIA, Darrin said he likes the club’s core values the best because they mirror his previous team’s values.
When asked about his coaching philosophy, he said, “Coach and play with a winning attitude through perseverance, passion, and pride. Don’t Give Up! Honor and respect others and the game. Play with focus and discipline 100% of the time.”
Favorite LFC player: Thiago Alcantara, for “his vision, pressure on the ball, and brilliant passes”
Favorite food: Mexican

Iain Harle, Pre-Club Academy Coach
Iain graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Football Studies and holds his Level 2 coaching license. He played for Market Bosworth FC and coached at Solent University, Stoneham FC, Oakwood FC, and Follands FC. What appealed to Iain about LFC IA is how the Pre Club Academy program is committed to helping players grow from recreational to club soccer and how it helps families adjust to time commitment.
Iain aims to create a fun, exciting, and safe environment for players to develop while learning football.
Favorite LFC player: Luis Diaz, for his flair and ability to create something unexpected
Favorite food: Steak and chips

Ryan Brentville, Pre-Club Academy Coach
Ryan has his FA Level 1 coaching License. He played at his university and coached at Leeds United as a Youth Football Coach. He also worked for Crewe Alexandra FC as a Youth Performance Analyst. Ryan has his Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Science.
Ryan’s coaching philosophy is to play fluid attacking football, being on the front foot, and providing a high-pressing game. In joining LFC IA SoCal, Coach Ryan looks forward to developing his experience, knowledge, and qualifications.
Favorite LFC player: Thiago, for his technical ability
Favorite food: Paella

Luke Swanwick, Pre-Club Academy Coach
Luke played soccer for Marlborough Rovers, Stoke City academy, and Measham Jaguars. He holds a degree in Sports Coaching and has coached for Marlborough Rovers, Coach Unlimited, and Nics Sports academy. He is currently obtaining his FA Level 1 Coaching License.
In joining LFC IA SoCal, Luke is excited about creating a fun environment to help kids develop technically and as individuals. This is reflected in his coaching philosophy: “I believe in the importance of building valuable life skills while developing character and building strong personalities. I emphasize the benefits of teamwork and communication in sports alongside technical skills.” Luke wants children to have a safe space to express themselves and for youth players to grow holistically to help them on whichever path they take.
Favorite LFC player: Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, who used to play for the gunners! He’s also an underrated player.
Favorite food: Meat feast pizza with some nice crispy chips as a side
