Organized by LFC International Academy, the LFC IA Coach Convention took place in England. Our very own Tim Woodcock, Paul Holohan, Rob Harrison, and David Brown were able to attend this year’s convention.
This convention focuses primarily on coach education for the coaches representing LFC International Academy globally. The convention includes a multitude of informative presentations on coaching, nutrition, and safeguarding, with a tour of Anfield and the AXA Training Center.
Our staff had their own thoughts on the convention:
COO David Brown said, “Great to hear reinforcement of the key learning philosophies, how they’re implemented from youth to first team and a renewed commitment to our players on and off the field.”
Boys Technical Director Paul Holohan said, “As a lifelong Liverpool fan and having come to Liverpool and Liverpool FC over the years, now as a Technical Director at Liverpool Football Club International Academy this event and trip supersedes anything I have ever experienced before the learning, gained knowledge and meeting so many great people and colleagues.”
Girls Technical Director Rob Harrison said, “Great experience and insight to Liverpool Football Club. The internal passion and connection with their people becomes even more clear from the inside!”
CEO Tim Woodcock said, “Unbelievable to have access to Pep Ljinders, the 1st team coach at Liverpool FC. He spent 90 minutes with us sharing his coaching pathway, philosophy on player development and some great insight into Jürgen Klopp’s man management expertise.”
