Every month, our coaches nominate players who exemplify Liverpool’s four core values: Ambition, Commitment, Dignity, and Unity. We award those based on how well they embody these values on and off the pitch.
December
“Evan is always fully committed to finishing the academy homework and has a 100% completion record for his skills work. He recently managed to improve his juggling score 5 weeks in a row. He got injured in an EAL game but attended every practice while on crutches to ensure he could learn what we were working on and help with equipment during the session.” – Francis Davin“Carter signed with the team recently but has gone on to become a really important member of the squad. He came to the team with lots of talent and little experience and has been enthusiastic and dedicated to everything. His hard work paid off in the TOC as he notched 6 goals in 2 games and helped secure his team 4 points against tough opponents.” – Max Dolton“Kyla has always been a team player from the start. She is always encouraging her teammates even if mistakes are made. The entire team loves her and her infectious personality.” – Ron Paredes
January
“Gabriel is a role model for the team. He is always on time, hasn’t missed a practice, and is willing to put his teammates first. He gives his teammates advice, is willing to recognize his own mistakes, and works hard to fix them.” – Jose Sanchez“Dev consistently demonstrates her commitment to the team’s overall success. She plays with her heart on her sleeve and always leads the front line by example.” – Rob Harrison“Mila demonstrated every core value during State Cup. She showed ambition to get forward, creating chances to score, and was committed to come back and defend. Mila always plays with lots of heart and passion.” – James Curry
February
“Great commitment shown playing out of normal position.” – Tony Adams“Heidi shows up at every training session ready to grind and focus. Her commitment to her craft has been paying off immensely regarding her development and field results.” – Jeff Redinger “Heidi is a no-nonsense type of player that always tries her best to get the job done. She is fierce and focused the moment the match starts. Heidi definitely makes my job easier as a coach.” – Ron Paredes“Averie is determined to play college soccer and has the god-gifted talents, but she also puts in all the extra effort to accomplish that goal! Her commitment is excellent, and she always goes above and beyond to be successful. She has been with the club since starting the rec program! True Loyalty!” – Carlos Gonzales
March
“Caleb is really starting to grow into a strong leader. There have been multiple occasions where his team is being outplayed or gives up a bad team goal during the first half, and as he approaches the bench, he is a loud positive voice to his teammates, often reassuring them that the game is still there to be won.” – Jeff Redinger“Clark demonstrated ambition. When I took over the team, he seemed to lack the confidence to try new things in case of failing. He has since taken my advice to be brave and not be influenced by fear. He has become more confident and outspoken in sessions and was instrumental in our State Cup journey.” – Max Dolton“Elsa is a prime example of ambition. She is always taking risks in training to become a better player. She knows that what she learns from practice will make her a more complete player.” – Ron Paredes
