Coach’s Spotlight: Liam Brader A-license

-

We are happy to announce the completion of Liam Brader’s National A-Youth Coaching License!

Liam is Liverpool FC International Academy SoCal’s Head Coach of the Boys Academy B2009/B2008 teams, and we’re so proud that he has recently completed his A-License.
Liam took his first USSF course back in 2013 and has since received his C license in Indiana and B license in Kansas.

The National A-License focuses on recognizing the principles of the game and technical aspects in an 11v11 game format with older players. The course took 10 months to complete that consists of approximately 30 classroom hours and 40 field session hours and was the longest amongst the other courses that Liam has completed. The course included group projects, lectures that rely on the use of video analysis of game situations and footage, video review sessions and several webinars with guest speakers. The final presentations were delivered to the lead instructor’s on areas of Liam’s coaching skills and processes.

Liam found the course very fascinating. There were 36 other candidates that shared a vast knowledge of the game and their coaching experiences with all different levels and age groups. These other coaches were also from different parts of the United States, which benefited his learning. Liam did not only learn from the course itself but from the collaboration between other coaches. He enjoyed the teamwork and the inspiration to become a better coach and individual.

In today’s age change is inevitable and for this, coaches must be prepared and ready to execute the youth in our community.  Liam says, “This puts the importance on coaches to continually educate themselves to be moving the game forward and developing teaching methods that align with that”. With all the courses that Liam has completed he has been able to assist athletes in developing to their fullest potential.

“I am absolutely delighted for Liam to achieve his A License. This really shows his commitment to learning more and a dedication to improve in order to serve others. Liam is a key member of our team and holding his A license will impact everyone he works with in the Boys Academy and as the Director of our Premier Program. Our club is committed to helping our coaches achieve their goals both personally and professionally. Liam is testament to this and he becomes the 5th coach on staff who has passed their A license. Congrats!!” – Tim Woodcock CEO, LFCIA SoCal
