On Saturday, LFC IA SoCal hosted our annual staff party and awards night. It was a great night, bringing together staff and coaches to celebrate the year and recognize some outstanding performers.
Ambition Award – James Curry
James has been a vital part of our organization for a number of years and has developed in a number of different roles, always striving to bring players into our club based on a positive experience in the programs he’s responsible for.

Commitment Award – Liam Brader
The winner of our commitment award goes to someone who has broken new ground for our organization, going the extra mile to do things right in creating the right environment, representative of the standards of excellence demanded of our organization. Liam has done all of these things and more, and we’re grateful to have him as part of our club.

Dignity Award – Lynn Perez
Starting her own journey with us as a Club Rep, Lynn has grown to be a vital and focal point for coaches and our membership, handling many and varied tasks head on.
Lynn always works to bring the best out of all of us, on and off the field with our coaches and Club Reps.

Unity Award – PCA Coaches – Nathan Shemmel, Glenn Swain, Sam Parker, Scott Clachers
As a youth sports group with a huge reach across many ages of players, it is incumbent for us to work together to help each other out for the greater good of our community. To recognize an exceptional group of coaches in our foundational program, all our PCA coaches received Unity award recognition.

Coach of the Year – Carlos Gonzales
A coach in our organization does significantly more than just coaching on the field: the requirements of the role are far greater than ever before and include recruitment, team building, and the development of a cohesive group with both parents and players.
When all this comes together, after endless hours of commitment and going above and beyond in search of a dream, it’s an incredible achievement.
Out of all the teams in their age group our G06 team had the most goals for with 83 and achieved the biggest goal differential in the country with 65!
Carlos Gonzales delivered the first National Championship for our club. We are very proud of this team and their achievements, so Carlos was recognized as coach of the year.

Employee of the Year – Jody Honeywood
A person who delivers on all LFC core values.
Our community programming is the foundation of our organization and the amount of time, commitment, and grind that is required to ensure everyone is supported is often overlooked.
Jody interacts with every coach, parent, player and team member with respect, often receiving praise as a result of it and is building his reputation daily!
Epitomizing hard graft, proud and professional in equal measures in support of our club, with a natural ability to earn respect through honesty and integrity, Jody Honeywood is our Employee of the Year.
