Liverpool FC IA SoCal’s Community Outreach team attended the Girl Scouts of Orange County’s Fall Kick-off on Saturday, September 17th. Organizations from all around Southern California came together and shared their philanthropies and programs dedicated to empowering young women. It was really special to share how soccer and sports have influences our lives and helped develop our confidence, leadership, and sportsmanship skills.
Other great organizations/booths in attendance: Richard Nixon Presidential Library, Aquarium of the Pacific, STEMup4Youth, Chuck Jones Center for Creativity, Global Action Team, Outdoors & Camp Scherman, The Crisanta Knight Series, Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, Fashion Camp, Operation Christmas Child, etc,.
Our Community Coordinator Ally Lozano had some words to share about the Kick-Off:
Being able to set up next to these amazing organizations and to be considered an establishment that has a positive impact on young girls is an honor. I got to share my story with a few female athletes which was really cool.
