On September 10th, LFCIA SoCal started up our Mini Reds Program in Irvine for the Fall 2022 season. Our program is one hour on Saturday for 4 weeks. Kids under 5 came out, learned some soccer skills, and played lots of fun games with our professional coaches. From learning bells and toe-taps to playing sharks & minnows and stick-in-the-mud to playing 4v4 scrimmages. The kids are slowly mastering dribbling and continuously working on their soccer skills. We’re very proud of our young Mini Reds!
We asked a few coaches (Coach Scott and Coach Sam) about how they think the program is going:
Really good. I think the kids are having a great time and responding well to it. I feel like I get a lot of positive feedback from the parents. They seem to be enjoying watching their kids play.

Going great for the first two weeks. Kids are engaged and enjoying the sessions. The curriculum has a good variety of games and fun themes for each practice. Scrimmages are going well the kids are trying to learn new positions and the general rules of the game.
