On Friday, August 26th, LFC IA SoCal attended a back-to-school picnic for Cypress Village Elementary. We were thrilled to be welcomed back to CVE after last school year, where we hosted an after school soccer class through the IPSF program ACE in the Fall and Spring. The PTA put on a fantastic event, with music, activities, and cool food trucks while our coaches Ally, Sam and Scott set up 3 small fields and facilitated free play for the students. We also set up our roadshow table, including our famous prize wheel. All kids who visited our booth went home with a cool, little prize, and parents enjoyed spinning the wheel as well.
We saw a handful of familiar faces, and made tons of new friends! At the end of the event, we all got to enjoy a beautiful sunset at the end of a fun day. LFC IA SoCal eagerly looks forward to attending future school events and helping with more after school soccer classes.

The students and their families had a great time as did Cypress Village Elementary staff :-). The success was a direct result of your presence and engagement with members of our community. It was a delight seeing all the smiling faces throughout the duration of the event.
