A number of our LFC International Academy SoCal players have recently committed to join Irvine Valley College (IVC) beginning next season. We are proud of the following ladies who have chosen to stay close to home and play locally. We cannot wait to see you play! Here is how Coach Ron Paredes described each player:
Andrea Gaona
Andrea played a massive part in filling our gaps. Initially, we started the season without a CB, and she stepped up and did the job. She officially got settled in on the attacking side of the ball, creating many opportunities for our team.
Karla Garcia
Karla came onto the team after having not played in a while. She has really played an integral role in the attack. We are proud of you, Karla.
Danielle Jauregui
Dani is a very no-nonsense type of player who will do the work without questions. She captained our defensive line all season and did a great job.
Ku’uipo Laumatia
Ku’uipo brought in a set of skills that we needed, especially since we were still a small roster when she joined us coming from Hawaii. Even after taking time off, Ku’uipo showed up to every practice and match with fire in her eyes. She helped our team succeed.
Annika LePage
Annika’s grit has let her overcome the odds against her, making her an invaluable addition to IVC’s team. Annika didn’t let anything stop her from playing soccer, not even an ACL injury. For many months, she struggled to get her bearings straight, but eventually, she started getting her groove back. In the field, Annika displays leadership in the midfield.
Trinity Nguyen
Trinity had a great season playing in almost every position we needed her. She is a very reliable player that can do it all.
Jocelyn Quinonez
Jocelyn has been a true impact player on the team. She has always been a go-to for our team as an attacking player, but towards the tail end of the season, I tasked her to play LB for us, and she absolutely killed it.
