Just in line with Women’s Month, LFC IA SoCal celebrates the success of our women’s teams who participated in the DPL National “Summit” Tournament and the SOCAL State Cup!
G06 – Gonzales – DPL Summit Champion
G06, under Coach Carlos Gonzales, dominated the DPL Summit championship and won 3-0 vs. TopHat in the Final! During the tournament, they scored 15 goals and had only 1 goal against them. All in all, they won four games and had no losses. G06 competed among the top 12 teams in the nation and bested them all!
G10 – Harrison – DPL Summit Champion
G10 also went home as champions during the DPL Summit after winning 2-0 vs. Pinecrest. Led by Coach Rob Harrison, G10 won 3 games and had no losses. They scored eight goals and only two goals against them. Playing against the Top 8 teams in the Nation, G10 showed everyone how it’s done, coming out on top!
Girls Director Rob Harrison expressed his pride for these wins. He said,
“We are delighted to see the continued development and level of play with these two Girls Academy teams. They continue to push themselves week in and week out to maintain standards and uphold their status across the DPL National rankings while representing LFCIA across the Nation!”
G09 – Wheeler/Di Donato – State Cup Finalist
G09 Flight 2 fought hard in the SoCal State Cup, finishing well in second place! Coaches Maddy Wheeler and Jessica Di Donato led this talented group to be the only youngers team who advanced to the final!
G09 – Harrison – Advance to National Tournament
G09 qualifies to advance to the National Tournament after winning two out of three games during the DPL Summit. Girls Director Rob Harrison also handles this group.
