Coaches of the Months: December – March!

-

Every month we recognize coaches for their outstanding efforts embodying LFC’s core values. We congratulate our hard-working coaches who constantly set an excellent example for our players.

December

“Coach Rob goes above and beyond for all the girls on the team. He sees them, knows them, and encourages them to be their best. He constantly gives the girls excellent feedback and insight while they play. Our daughter has thrived on his team and under his direction. It has heightened her experience and passion for the sport. His heart for seeing the girls as human and passionate about what they are doing and sharing that passion makes Coach Rob the best!” – Girls Team Parent
“Coach Francis expressed we should hold an event to commemorate our team. He insisted we include a video slide show and individual captains’ speeches. He required that the boys leave their sweaty gear behind and dress to impress. His enthusiasm for this event and every player on our team truly reflects his LFCIA pride. The next evening, we met in Liverpool red at a senior center (in lieu of practice) and brightened many elderly hearts by decorating cookies and gingerbread houses with them. It was a week of learning and bonding off the field for our team, all with Coach Francis leading the way.” – Boys Team Parent

“Francis took time out to think about the social side of the game, one of the five key components of the LFC Development Model, to create fantastic experiences for his players and community.”

“Coach Ron has motivated the team to get better each practice. He has recognized Mila and the other girls for their strengths and has also provided constructive feedback on where they have opportunities to improve. That has motivated Mila to practice independently and improve her foot skills.” – Girls Team Parent
“Coach Glenn did an excellent job this year in All-Stars and C of E. I coach Rec, and he had the girls into it. I learned a lot from him. His practices were always starting as soon as the players got there. He was a model coach. More importantly, my daughter absolutely adored him. He did excellently.” – Girls Team Parent

“When my son was playing at PCA, Coach Glen holistically brought the team together and identified individual strengths, and empowered them.” – Boys Team Parent

February

“I can confidently say this is the most joy and improvement I’ve seen from my daughter. Coach Maddy utilizes the perfect balance of instruction, support, fitness, critique, and fun. Especially being the parent of a young girl, I think it’s great for Peyton to have a strong female role model.” – Girls Team Parent

“Coach Maddy is teaching the girls amazing skills on the field and how to be respectful humans to each other on and off the field. She is a great role model and shows the girls how to be leaders at a young age which they will carry throughout their lives. The girls have improved as a team and are more focused and mature. She holds each girl accountable and challenges them in their decision-making. This helps them to learn from their mistakes and change their mindset rather than being told what to do.” – Girls Team Parent
“My daughter’s goalkeeping skills have improved tremendously under Jeff’s direction. She flew through the air during a State Cup game and punched the ball like a superhero. It looked like a move straight out of the Premier League. He also brings the GKs together as their own team during practices and provides valuable insight and guidance on and off the field. My daughter loves going to practice. Jeff is an amazing coach, and I appreciate all he has done for her.” – Goalkeeper Parent

March

“Coach Kieran has consistently expressed his excitement to coach our team and partner with our families as we begin this competitive season. He has communicated positivity, togetherness, fun and learning as well as kept us on track with detailed goals ahead of each practice. His enthusiasm and professionalism has not wavered as several recent practices have been canceled due to heavy rain. In lieu of practice, Coach Kieran sent out video links to online training and held a team building Zoom meeting with a fun quiz to keep the girls excited and engaged. We can’t wait to kick off the Spring season this weekend with Coach Kieran!” – Girls Team Parent
“Jose is incredibly encouraging and supportive. This is Deegan’s first season, and he can be very hard on himself. Jose is so good about teaching him to dream big and trust himself. He gives him the confidence boost he needs.” – Boys Team Parent

“Coach Sanchez has been helping Jameson and his teammates to learn how to work with each other.” – Boys Team Parent
